It is possible to seek advice by telephone and to make appointments outside consulting times under the phone numbers noted above.

The Social Advice Centre of the Student Administration Hanover is the contact for students and people interested in studying. It offers orientation and clarification when you are looking for the solution of personal, social or financial problems. We will help you non-bureaucratic, directly and competently. We are there for you during the rough patches of your studies. You can take for granted that all conversation will be held confidential.

We are giving tips and information concerning
• Jobs and social insurances
• means of financing (besides BAföG)
• social cover between studies and job
• exemption from GEZ-charges
• reduction on telephone-charges, child benefit etc.
• studying with children
• health insurance
• studying with a handicap
• specific problems of foreign students
• all other social topics concerning students

Additionally the Social Advice Centre offers information events like "Studying with Children", "Job and Social Insurance", "Rental Legislation", "Cover between Studies and Job", "Saving Taxes" and "Studying with a Handicap". The dates are announced in the "Blattsalat" and on our German internet-pages or can be inquired at the Social Advice Centre.
