This quiet and homely dormitory is right within a green area. The University for Veterinary Medicine and the Mensa II (refectory) are directly adjoining. The spacious exterior and the big terrace are further advantages. All rooms have access to the Internet, the fee is already included in the rent.
The large common room, where there is not only the self-administrated student pub but sometimes also movies and parties, is a popular meeting point. There are mainly single rooms in shared apartments / hall communities with shared sanitary rooms/kitchens, but a 2-room-apartment is available as well. The prices differ in regard to the size of the rooms. All rooms are completely furnished

Self-Administration of the Dormitory (HSV)
The self-administration of the dormitory is elected from and by the group of the student residents. It keeps contact with the Student Administration, organises dormitory assemblies and parties, manages the students pub and sometimes arbitrates in case of dispute. The HSV is working complimentary. Suggestions and cooperation are always appreciated!
To find out the name of the HSV-members, consulting times and places of assembly please refer to announcements in the dormitory or ask the dormitory management.
Tutoring Programme in Dormitories
Within the framework of the Tutoring Programme for foreign students the student assistants offer consulting times. Some assistants attend to more than one dormitory – please pay attention to where the consulting times take place!
"Hello, my name is Edmond Joel Feune Todem. In 2004 I moved from Cameroon to Germany. My subject of studies is electrical engineering at the Leibniz University of Hanover. Since 2008 I am tutor of the Student Administration Hanover. I speak French, English, German and Italian.
I offer evenings at the cinema and cooking nights regularly. Furthermore I am organising small conversation events on topics of current interest. Naturally I also look after the daily problems of foreign students. If you should have any questions, I will be there for you – just check my announcements!"

At the Brehmstraße there is a »minishop« 5 minutes away. You will find several shops (supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, etc.) alongside the Marienstraße.
Culture Round the Corner
The large common room in the dormitory is a popular meeting point. Here you do not only find the "Pinte", a self-administrated pub but from time to time movies and parties are on the list as well. Alongside Marienstraße, the Sallstraße and the Bischofsholer Damms there are several pubs and cafés. For further information please refer to www.hannover.de.
Sports
The location of the dormitory offers great opportunities to go for a run and it is nice to go for a walk at the Bult, a former horse-race track. The nearby lake Maschsee invites you to ride a pedalo as well as to go running and inline-skating. In summer the lido Kleefelder Bad (Haubergstraße 17) and the lido Strandbad Maschsee (Rudolf-von-Bennigsen-Ufer 83) invite you for a swim, as does the a bit farther away indoor swimming pool Stadionbad (Arthur-Menge-Ufer 5a), which additionally has a sauna, in winter.
