These two adjoining dormitories are on the fringes of the green area Georgengarten. The University and its most important institutions are in direct reach of the dormitories, which consist of several two- and three-storeyed buildings. In the domitory Lodyweg can a cheap internet-access be rented in every room. In der domitory Jägerstraße all rooms have access to the Internet, the fee is already included in the rent. In autumn 2009, the façades of the three buildings of the dormitory Jägerstraße have been renovated energetic at the expense of the economic stimulus package II. In the process, most of the buildings' windows have been replaced.
There are single rooms in shared apartments / hall communities with shared sanitary rooms/kitchens. Besides, a 1,5-room-apartment is available. The prices differ in regard to the size of the rooms. All rooms are completely furnished.

Please note: If you want to apply for a place in a Dormitory, please contact our Department for Student Residential Affairs (Jägerstraße 3–5), not the local Dormitory Management!

Self-Administration of the Dormitory (HSV)
The self-administration of the dormitory is elected from and by the group of the student residents. It keeps contact with the Student Administration, organises dormitory assemblies and parties, manages the students pub and sometimes arbitrates in case of dispute. The HSV is working complimentary. Suggestions and cooperation are always appreciated!
To find out the name of the HSV-members, consulting times and places of assembly please refer to announcements in the dormitory or ask the dormitory management.
Tutoring Programme in Dormitories
Within the framework of the Tutoring Programme for foreign students the student assistants offer consulting times. Some assistants attend to more than one dormitory – please pay attention to where the consulting times take place!
"Hello, my name is Xiaozhe Wu. I came from from China in 2008 and I study Civil Engeneering at the Leibniz University. Since October 2011 I am your tutor in the dormitories Jägerstraße/ Lodyweg. If you have any questions about your new life in the dormitory or about studying and living in Hanover I will be there for you. I speak Chinese, German and English.
I organise regularly cultural events like visits to cinemas, excursions, parties and barbecues for you. I'm looking forward to meet you and to get something going together. Please check my announcements at the dormitories!"

The dormitories are situated right between two districts, which can both be reached within 10 minutes. As well at the Limmerstraße as at the Engelbosteler Damm you will find a multitude of shopping possibilities (supermarkets, bakeries, Turkish fruit shops, book stores, hairdressers, boutiques,...)
Culture Round the Corner
The dormitory location between two student quarters results in a wide range of cultural possibilities. There are pubs, bars and cafés just everywhere. The Internationalismus-Buchladen at the Engelbosteler Damm organises readings as well as the Literarische Salon at the University does. The cinemas Kino im Sprengel in the Nordstadt and the very popular Apollo-Kino in Linden offer interesting programmes. The cinemas at the city centre are not far away either. Sports
The closely situated parks offer ideal opportunities to go for a run and at the Georgengarten you can meet Pétanque players 24 hours a day all over the year. The Zentrum für Hochschulsport (Centre for University Sports Hanover) is just vis-à-vis and offers a considerable range of sports courses.
Medical Practitioners
At the Engelbosteler Damm and the Limmerstraße you can find many physicians. With the Hannover Map or the Google Map below you can find doctors near to the dormitory. On weekends and in case of emergency: the Klinikum Nordstadt (hospital) at the Haltenhoffstraße 41 is a 15 minutes’ walk away.
