For trams, busses and trains of the Deutsche Bahn, the Großraumverband Hannover (GVH = traffic union for Greater Hanover) grants cheaper seven-day- or monthly tickets to those students who are not included in the general SemesterCard arrangement. The necessary charge card is available at the ÜSTRA, Service Centre City (Karmarschstr. 30–32) onto which a photograph and a registration notice are pasted. The Deutsche Bahn AG (DB) grants ticket reduction for the travels between place of living and place of study. In addition to that there are several more reductions on national and international tickets for students up to the age of 26. Further information at all sales agencies of the DB or at bahn.de.
