Since October 2007, the Student Administration offers 26 places, mainly in single apartments and rooms in shared 3-room apartments, in a lovely old building just opposite the main refectory. The building has been thoroughly renovated by the university and refurnished by the Student Administration. Partly, the rooms have very nice old wood floors. The tenements offer a quiet residence in the midst of the lively and attractive Nordstadt, Hanover’s university quarter. Most of the institutes of the Leibniz University are very close and you will find the public parks Welfengarten and Georgengarten just a few steps away. In addition to that, the Nordstadt provides good shopping opportunities and countless pubs.
The prices differ in regard to the rooms sizes. A best performance internet-access is included in the rents which are listed below. All rooms are completely furnished.

The office hours take place at the dormitory Callinstraße 25, which is situated just askew the street.
Self-Administration (HSV) of the Dormitory
The self-administration of the dormitory is elected from and by the group of the student residents. It keeps contact with the Student Administration, organises dormitory assemblies and parties and sometimes arbitrates in case of dispute. The HSV is working complimentary. Suggestions and cooperation are always appreciated!
To find out the name of the HSV-members, consulting times and places of assembly please refer to announcements in the dormitory or ask the dormitory management.
Tutoring Programme in Dormitories
Within the framework of the Tutoring Programme for foreign students the student assistants offer consulting times. Some assistants attend to more than one dormitory – please pay attention to where the consulting times take place!
"Hello, my name is Mario Penzo. I was born in Hanover, but grew up in the Dominican Republic. In 2004 I moved back to Germany to study civil engineering at the Leibniz University. Since 2007 I am supporting foreign students at the dormitory as a tutor of the Student Administration Hanover. I speak Spanish, English and German.
I am offering multicultural events, cultural evenings in the common room and evenings at the cinema on a regular basis. Furthermore, I am organising excursions in and outside of Hanover. Naturally I also look after the daily problems of foreign students. If you should have any questions, I will be there for you – just check my announcements at the dormitories."

Culture Round the Corner
The cultural range of this student quarter is versatile: Directly at the Callinstraße and the Schneiderberg there are several pubs. The Internationalismus-Buchladen at the Engelbosteler Damm organises readings as well as the Literarische Salon at the University. The Kino im Sprengel (cinema) is located in this quarter, too, and offers an interesting programme. For further information refer to hannover.de.
Sports
The closely situated parks offer ideal opportunities to go for a run and at the Georgengarten you can meet Pétanque players 24 hours a day all over the year. The Zentrum für Hochschulsport (Centre for University Sports Hanover) can be reached within 10 minutes and offers a considerable range of sports courses.
Medical Practitioners
At the Engelbosteler Damm and the adjoining streets you can find many physicians. With the Hannover Map or the Google Map below you can find doctors near to the dormitory. On weekends and in case of emergency: the Nordstadtkrankenhaus (hospital) at the Haltenhoffstraße 41 is an 8 minutes' walk away.
