Before you fill in the Dormitory Application for Admission online, please read the following comments concerning the application procedure.

The dormitory places are distributed in order of receipt of the application. Applications of disabled people are preferentially considered (please send a corresponding copied certificate).

As soon as we receive your application we will try to offer you your favourite dormitory place at the time desired. Just at the beginning of the semester the demand often increases our number of spare dormitory places. This is why it is possible that we must put you on a waiting list. These lists are kept separately for every dormitory. We will contact you immediately if we can offer you a housing.

Tip: During the summer months there are often spare rooms due to completions of courses of studies. Maybe you can already rent a dormitory place at this time and avoid the “big crush” in October.

All of the dormitories of the Student Administration Hanover (Studentenwerk Hannover) are near to the university's institutions. Even those dormitories that are not situated within direct vicinity of your university are easily to be reached by Hanover's excellent tram-net. Your semester fee includes a SemesterCard for the local public transport so that you have no further costs.
