Legal Advice of the Student Administration Hanover for Foreign Students
The Student Administration Hanover offers to those international students, who must pay contributions to the Student Administration Hanover*, free legal advice in regard to their status as foreigners. This concerns especially law regulations for foreigners and questions about industrial law for foreign students.
The legal advice is performed by single lawyers. On the entitlement notice issued by the Student Administration those lawyer are listed, who give the legal advice. Advice fees for other lawyers are not being paid.
• The legal advice is limited to pre-trial verbal information. Representation at the court, the drafting of legal documents or the payment of legal costs is not possible.
• Legal advice concerning topics that are not related to the foreign status is not performed.
• Foreign students can get one legal advice in connection with their foreign status per semester.
• The Student Administration pays the costs for a legal advice session not longer than 60 minutes.
If you need legal advice concerning the foreign status, you could fetch the entitlement notice at the Social Advice Centre of the Student Administration Hanover. Please bring your valid student card and your passport.
* Contributory are the students of the Leibniz University of Hanover, the University of Applied Sciences Hanover, the University for Veterinary Medicine Hanover, The University for Music and Drama Hanover, the Medical School Hanover and the University of Applied Sciences of Economics Hanover.
